Hunting Bambi

Grandpa has been beside himself with the damage the deer have caused his crops this year.... So the solution is... Bambi hunting. Since its on his land in city limits, only have family member can get permits to shot bambi. Abby cow girl-ed up and has shown us what she's made out of! With in the week she got her hunters licencse and permits and took bamib #1 down on friday night. They planned on going back out on saturday night and I asked if I could tag along to snap some photos and learn from watching. (Ya never know what the future holds). We headed out just after 6 and waited about a 1/2 hr until Abby sighted them and took her shot.

Abby the proud new hunter!

I watched, photographed and helped hold a flashlight...
It was a new experience and I learned a lot.
Mitch observing it all... definitely not for the faint of heart.
I've never had deer, but I look forward to trying it. Abby has suprised us all and I'm proud of her! Chase has been a good teacher. Look out world we got another Annie Oakley in our mist.
