Social network anyone?

While we were driving to Idaho we all started talking about technology and where the world is going with it. Its kind of scary how quickly our generation is relying solely on the internet and all the social networks to build their relationships. Relationships are no longer built upon actual face to face interactions. Mitch hates facebook. There was a recent study done and divorces have risen 20% since social networking has come about. It's scary how easy temptation creeps into someone's life. I enjoy facebook to keep in touch with friends and family. Sadly not everyone has good intentions. Even the most innocent person can be caught up in something that turns out to be devestating.
So I decided to 'clean house' and clear out the people I really don't talk to. Why not, right? Its something that's been on my mind and I'm choosing to take action and focus on relationship with people I know and care about. Maybe I need a break of social networking...
Blogging on the other hand is a way for me to keep a journal and keep people I care about up to date with our lives. I think I'll focus on sharing my thoughts and pictures this way....
What are your thoughts on social networking?! Please share!

I agree. Let's live life head on. Just like gaming is a substitute for life. But like anything good for us, it's hard to say no to the easy out. We can do hard things. We can discipline ourselves.

I agree with you completely! Divorce SUCKS. Video games and internet seriously damages marriages. I use facebook to keep in touch with close friends, I need to clean house too, as well as to update my photography and stuff for clients. It's easier than other sites for that in my opinion. It's so nice to spend nights with your significant other just one on one time that doesn't involve internet or shoot-em-up games. I love super mario brothers and the mario galaxy because you can be two players and play together. As well as the donkey kong country. It's fun to play together but it's also nice that we don't play more than once or twice a month tops.

I will admit to sitting on the computer editing clients photos for hours on end with mike begging me to spend time with him. But sometimes duty calls and I try to keep to doing it while he isn't home.

First of all - I LOVE your new background! It is perfectly adorable!! And second, I agree! Technology - I LOVE, but I hate how dependant even I am on it. It's for sure a love/hate relationship.
