Mitch is terrified of spiders and mice ... {and then there was that one time with a massive moth in our new house} .... oh and clowns. I try to be very nice about his phobias because I know I need him with mine. The countless stories of him finding spiders or mice when he was managing Papa Murphy's... make me giggle. But I'm so very respectful of his phobia.
My phobia is .... snakes. I am absolutely terrified by them!! I'm not kidding people, its pretty intense. I scream, froze once or twice, run far away and am known to cry. Its almost a crippling fear that comes over me when I come across them.
Give me spiders any day!!
Give me mice and clowns.....
Snakes.... I CAN'T do it!!
My sisters Abby and Nanna are the same way.
My brother Peter has been known to handle snakes more times than I can count and has rescued me many times!!
When I was young, I tried to like them.... didn't work and as I get older my fear intensifies!
{Worms freak me out too!! Luckily they don't move very fast and I love knowing they are in my garden making wonderful soil for me!}
Snakes are just un-natural to me! THEY DON'T HAVE ANY LEGS!!! Yuck!!!
They move all freaky like and just are dirty and nasty!!
I come across garden snakes at the garden center plenty of times during the growing season....
I love my job, but HATE them!!
I've been told that garden snakes are harmless... YEA RIGHT : tell that to me who watch a garden snake latch onto my brother's finger, Peter trys to flip him off and finally after sqeezing it's jaw open... Peter's finger was bleeding and had a snake mouth print on it.
Moral of the story.... I'll kill your spiders {black widows included} ANY day! As long as you take care of snakes for me! And please please please please please don't ever try to be funny and put one in my face!
** what is your phobia??**
please share!

snakes (I'm with you all the way on this one!), spiders (where do you think Mitch got it from? I use to trap the lives ones under a bowl until dad came home hours later), and the shadowy something hiding in the dark when I turn out all the lights and make my way from my desk, through the living room and hall to my bedroom. I have to go slow so I won't stub my toe in the dark--plenty of time for something to attack! Now if only dad would leave a light on at that end of the house for me. . .
Death. I have an intense fear of it. And for the record, I love snakes, so if there's ever one (besides a rattler) I'll take care of it for you :).
