The magic of summer...

It's the end of the summer and I've enjoyed all that it has had to offer.
My darling yard has thrived with all the sunshine and warmth.
I however much preferred spending my time in the air conditioning of my home...
The weeds made their home.... the watering happened when my plants started to wilt... the weeds thrived in the garden
The blooms are beautiful and adding lots of color.... the weeds dance among them
The plants are filled out and hungry for attention
Fertilizing hasn't been regular and the plants are showing the lack of iron, nutrients
 The dead headed hasn't happened
And my other new flower bed has been left alone... half done...
I think we'll manage to gear up for a big 'finale' in this corner next spring
The honey bees are happy and I coo to them every time I walk past them.

Soon I'll be pulling up all the annuals and exchanging them for tulip and daffodil bulbs and lots of pansies.
Thanks summer for the beauty... maybe next year the weeds won't make their home permanent among the flowers ;)
