peacocks and easter eggs

one of the many reasons i love my job.... i never know what the day will bring.
i started my day out rounding up some peacock hens that managed to wander out of their run.
{i have a feeling grandpa forgot to latch it sunday afternoon.}
a fact about peacocks: they are incredibly strong! it took most of my strength to keep them in my arms once i caught them.
while i was playing the role of the peacock whisperer....
i checked on chickens and noticed a few of our hens started laying!
hip hip hooray, happy dance.

mitch still hasn't jumped on board with my desire for backyard chickens...
until then i'll have to enjoy the eggs from our hens at work.
