We've been married for 1 year!! WOW. I can't believe its been a year already. Time sure flies, especially when your with the one you love!! Yesterday we slept in... as much as possible with the boys. We exchanged gifts :) I got Mitch a new watch. He's been wanting one for quite awhile. To top off the new puppy... Mitch got me 2 dozen roses which are absolutely GORGEOUS!! and the Wii Fit Plus. Which I've wanted for a long time. He takes such good care of me :) We played the fit for awhile and got ready. We ran a few errands and then headed to the Cheesecake Factory. YUMMMMMYYYY!!! Its one of our favorite places to eat. Incredible food topped off with heavenly cheesecake... can't get any better than that!!
Such a delicious meal!! We were STUFFED.
I LOVED spending a whole day with Mitch, especially since we were celebrating.

My beautiful flowers and AWESOME gift!! Such a sweetheart!

After lunch, we stopped by IKEA and browsed. I think its one of the coolest places!! I always wish I had more money so I could decorate and make my home look fabulous! I'll keep dreaming... someday it'll happen :) Once we finished at IKEA we stopped at the AF cinemark and picked up tickets for later. Headed home to drop off the cheesecake, potty the puppies, switch shoes - my feet were killing me after IKEA - and then headed back to the theater. We watched the Social Network. Such an interesting movie! Not what I had anticipated but really good!! After the movie we stopped by Redbox and grabbed another movie :) We rented Karate Kid. It was cheesy but I liked it! We turned out ALL the lights since tricker treaters were running around the neighborhood and curled up downstairs with goodies :) I had such an amazing time!! I love being married!!
1st year of marriage...
- learning how to live with a spouse.... challenging but TOTALLY worth it. I love
always having my best friend around.
- going to sleep and waking up to the one you love... BEST thing in the world!!
- my husband is the best!! He never leaves the toilet seat up!
(And I didn't even have to train him. LOL)
- renting from your parents.... wonderful and yet very challenging!!!
- renting a 3rd floor apartment is nice since you don't have to listen to anyone
above you.... BUT we'll never do that again! Especially with a dog who needs
to be go to the potty multiple times a day.
- buying our 1st home. Challenging, but 100 % worth it and so rewarding. I love
having our own place that we can call home!
- Marriage is something that is a work in progress. There are a lot of challenges,
and a lot of wonderful things about it! And no matter what each day is like... it's ALWAYS
worth it!!
- Mitch lost his job in January, it was challenging and such a blessing in disguise.
- Mitch caught staff in his mouth somehow and what a blessing it
was that we had health insurance!
- We've been on 2 cruises already - Honeymoon and vacation.
- We went camping for our first time together... took Jake with us
and joined my family in goblin valley.
We've done a lot of awesome things this past year!! I've enjoyed every minute of it!! I love Mitch with every part of my being.... I'm so grateful that I'm sealed to him for time and all eternity!! I'm truly grateful for everything he does for me and how hard he works for our little family!!
I look forward to growing old with him :) I couldn't have asked for a better man to be my husband! I love you Mitch!

Ah, that's so sweet. What a great record you're making of your life. You better print it off now and again so you can have it in a book.
Here's to a great 2nd year of marriage!
